Betty Ann Dungan Deas passed away Thursday, February 8, 2024, around 8:00 p.m. at South Baldwin Medical Center in Foley, Ala.

Betty Ann was born Mach 14, 1943, to Leroy Dungan and Edna Earl Craft. She was a lifelong resident of Coffeeville until she moved in with her daughter, Chandra, in Spanish Fort in March 2023.

Betty Ann was the picture of a true Southern lady and never went anywhere that her hair and make-up was not fixed. She was an avid seamstress and took great pride in every garment she made sewing every stitch with perfection. Being taught by her mother, she began sewing at an early age, making her own clothes as a teenager and later for the public. Her passion was designing and crating pageant and wedding gowns and everyone she ever sewed for became a forever friend in her eyes.

Betty Ann is survived by her husband of 64 years, Davis Deas; children, Jeff Deas (Michelle) of Thomasville, AL, and Chandra Deas (Darren) of Spanish Fort, Ala.; brothers, Ronal Dunagan ( Janette) and Donal Dunagan (Pat); and brother-in-law, Alton Deas ( Judy) all of Grove Hill, AL; grandchildren, Devin Deas (Rebecca) of Foley, Ala., Brittney Deas Alexander (Lance) of Magnolia Springs, Ala., Kayne Deas (Megan) of Saraland, Ala.; Kayden Deas, Kolten Deas (fiancee, Danieliz Fernandez) of Spanish Fort, Ala., great grandchildren, Maiya Deas of Spanish Fort, Ala., Baine and Gage Deas of Foley, Ala., Maci, Krislynn, and Ivey Anne Deas of Saraland, Ala.; Priscilla and Eli Alexander of Magnolia Springs, Ala., her faithful pet, Lexi; a niece, numerous nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her very dear cousin, Pauline Storey, granddaughter, Kaylee Deas; niece, DeAnne Wilson.

Betty Ann had a close relationship with her Lord Jesus Christ and loved sharing this with her family. She always said she was ready whenever He called her home.

Funeral services were held at Ulcanush Baptist Church on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 12:00 noon. Rev. Jerry Peebles officiated. Burial followed at Ulcanush Baptist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Greg Dunagan, David Dunagan, Jim Dunagan, Vince Deas, Walt Rotch, and Jason Sigler.
