Ruth Kling “Boots”  Harrison-Henley, 101, of Jackson passed away Jan. 22, 2019 at her residence surrounded by family.

She was born Oct. 10, 1917 to Warren Fletcher and Lillie Griffin Harrison in Grove Hill. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Jackson for more than 75 years. She taught Sunday School and Sunbeams classes for many years. She had been employed at Mobile Infirmary for 20 years in the clerical department. She served as the secretary and pianist for the Senior Citizen Nutrition Center in Jackson.

Survivors include her children, Thomas Warren “Tom” (Terri) Henley, Peggy R. Henley, Betty Jo (John R.) Faust-Wilson; grandchildren, Steve Faust, Scott Faust, Nathan Stacy (Allison) McCants, Dallas (Rob) McCants-Howell, Tenalee Henley-Dumas, Warren Henley; great-grandchildren, Ashley (Alex) Faust-Shorter, Ellie Faust, Tucker Faust, Wilson Faust, Chloe Dumas, Lizzie Dumas, Molly Henley, Lillie Howell, Joe Howell, Nathan McCants, Josie McCants, Kaitlin Faust, Sam Faust, Charlie McCants; great-great-grandchildren, Addie Shorter, Allie Shorter and numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe Jones Henley and brothers, Grady Byrd Harrison, William Griffin Harrison and Fletcher Warren Harrison

Visitation will begin Saturday, Jan. 26 at 12 noon until the 1 p.m. service at the First Baptist Church of Jackson with Dr. Ben Stubblefield and Rev. Brian Jemison officiating. Interment will be in Trinity Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Steve Faust, Scott Faust, Stacy McCants, Warren Henley, Rob Howell and David Chastain.
