Olla Mae Honeycutt, 70, of Grove Hill, passed away June 3 at her home. She was born December 21, 1952, to Ossie Grey and Christine Finney McIntyre. Her mother remarried after her father’s early death and Mr. Willard Odom, Sr. cared for her like his own child. She graduated from Vigor High School, and Phillip’s Junior College with a degree in nursing. Olla’s relationship with her husband William started when they were in school, as best friends, he moved away and later returned, after a re-acquaintance through the church ministry they later married. She retired from her nursing career when she became ill, and Bill lovingly cared for her. Olla enjoyed cooking, reading, crocheting, and making jewelry. Although they never had any children, the nieces and nephews filled the void and were treated as their own.

Olla is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, William Earl Honeycutt; sisters, Peggy (Samuel) Boyette, Shelvy ( Jack) Ray; brother, Willard (Sarah) Odom, Jr.; nieces and nephews Brandy, Michael, Joshua, Matthew, Tera, John, Josh, Joey, Jeremy, Tyler, Cody, and Kaylee.
