Samuel Charles Jackson, 87, passed into heaven Friday, February 11, 2022 at his home in Mexia.
He was born Aug. 22, 1934 in Clarke County and resided in Mexia since April of 1975. He was a member of the Mexia Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was vice-president of data processing at Monroe County Bank.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Ann Jackson of Mexia; a son, Ronnie (Karen) Jackson of Pensacola, Fla.; a daughter, Renee Jackson of Franklin, Tenn.; a brother, Carl Jackson of Monroeville; two sisters, Gerry Ardis of Montgomery and Pat Hicks of Mobile; two grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; two dogs and two granddogs.
A memorial service was Saturday, February 19 at 11 a.m. at Mexia Baptist Church.
