Bettye Lambert passed away on Thursday June 6, 2019 at a local hospital.

She was a native of Coffeeville where she attended Clarke County Training School and graduated in 1952. She went on to receive a undergraduate degree in education at Alabama A&M, then received a Master’s degree in education in 1973. She was a member of Iota Phi Landa, Beta Xi Chapter. She was a devoted member of Truevine Baptist Church where she served faithfully.

She leaves to cherish her memory three nieces, Evelyn Bell Stevens, Miami, Fla., Shirley Spears, Savannah, Ga. and Valerie Murray, Theodore, a host of great nieces, one devoted, Cindi Smith, Gautier, Ms., great nephews and a host of cousins and friends.

Visitation will take place at Small’s Mortuary, 950 S. Broad St., on Friday June 14, from 5 p.m. -8 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 15 at Truevine Missionary Baptist Church at 10:00 a.m. Repast at Truevine after funeral service. Grave side service at 2:00 p.m. in Coffeeville at Pace Cemetery.

Small’s Mortuary of Mobile will direct.
