Larrimore-Milstead marry in Fulton’s First Baptist

Chelsea Kaitlyn Milstead of Jackson and Leo Benjamin Larrimore of Dickinson were united in marriage Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Fulton. Dr. John Copeland and the Rev. Michael Bedsole officiated at the ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Richard Milstead of Jackson and Mr. and Mrs. Brad Larrimore Sr. of Dickinson.

Swags of bells of Ireland, sprengeri, fern, yellow snaps, white hydrangeas, yellow lilies, yellow and coral roses, white larkspur, white stargazer lilies, coral gerberas and alstroemeria adorned the front doors of the church.

A miniature version of the bride’s bouquet along with a framed photo of the couple was featured near the guest book, which was attended by Neely Duke of Thomasville. Lynn Copeland provided guests with programs and bookmarks.

At the front of the church a candle grouping was placed in memory of James Wayne Turner, grandfather of the bride; James Darrel Turner, uncle of the bride; Mr. and Mrs. Willie Dailey, maternal grandparents of the groom; Mr. and Mrs. Leo Larrimore, paternal grandparents of the groom; and Beth Parker, aunt of the groom. The grouping featured seven candles with a ring of white stargazer lilies, yellow and terracotta roses, green deli star fugi, sprengeri, green button mums, yellow lilies, coral gerberas, alstroemeria and white hydrangea.

Pews were decorated with swags of white larkspur, peach stock, coral gerberas, alstroemeria, yellow and terracotta roses, white stargazer lilies, tulips, yellow lilies, sprengeri and fern. The railing on each side of the church was draped with garlands of plumeria and springerii with baby’s breath and a swag matching those on the pews at each corner.

The baptistery window arrangement and the two large arrangements on each side and above the back door of the sanctuary contained bells of Ireland, green buttons, green deli star fugi, white snaps, white larkspur, white stargazer lilies, coral gerberas and alstroemeria, yellow enchantment lilies, yellow and terracotta roses, yellow snaps, myrtle, Italian ruscus, fern, sprengeri, curly willow and white hydrangeas.

Mallory Broadus, soloist and Gayle Larrimore, pianist, performed “Surely the Presence” and “The Lord’s Prayer.”

The bride wore a white satin mermaid gown enhanced with beaded metallic embroidery, featuring a strapless sweetheart neckline with a chapel length train. A fingertip veil and tiara and full-length white gloves completed the outfit. Her bouquet contained coral alstroemeria, yellow submarine and white roses, with the stems braided in white satin ribbon with pearls.

Maid of honor Lindsey Milstead, sister of the bride of Auburn, wore a Palm Beach coral knee length satin dress with a halter neckline. The other attendants were Emily Larrimore, sister of the groom of Dickinson, and Elizabeth Larrimore, sister-in-law of the groom of Eufaula wore empire-waist Palm Beach coral dresses with spaghetti straps with grosgrain ribbons at the waists. They carried handheld bouquets of yellow submarine roses with yellow satin ribbons braided around the stems.

Flower girl Madelyn Larrimore, niece of the groom of Eufaula, wore a white Strasburg sleeveless organza dress with a tulle skirt, tied in back with a white satin sash, adorned with a hand-embroidered floral neckline with seed pearls. A baby’s breath halo tied with white satin ribbon completed the ensemble. She carried a white satin basket filled with yellow submarine rose petals.

The groom’s attendants included his father as best man, Brad Larrimore Jr., brother of the groom of Eufaula and Drew Larrimore, nephew of the groom of Dickinson. John Patrick Larrimore, cousin of the groom of Coffeeville was the ring bearer and ushers were Jon Lear of Grove Hill, Gray Duff, Brandon Etheredge and Jared Daniels, all of Thomasville.

The wedding director was Pat Furr.

Reception

The reception was hosted in the Christian Life Center of the Church.

Guest and food tables were draped in white cloths with satin trimmed toppers. Tables featured tall clear vases filled with curly willow, bells of Ireland, green buttons, white stargazer lilies, yellow snaps, white hydrangeas and Italian ruscus.

A colonnade grouping draped with ferns and featuring a water fountain was placed between the bride’s and groom’s tables. Other fern draped columns were placed throughout the room.

The bride’s table held a threetiered cake covered with Cornelli lace scrollwork. The top featured white freesia, mini yellow and coral roses, white tulilps, coral gerberas and alstroemeria. Each layer was accented by small, scattered nosegays of flowers. A large ring of mixed flowers circled around a silver beaded stand. Crystal candleholders with white tapers and crystal champagne flutes were placed alongside the cake. Attendants were Roxanne Steele of Mobile and Charity Lambert of Auburn.

A tiered chocolate cake topped by a duck decoy and trimmed with cat tails was featured on the groom’s table. A rustic container of bells of Ireland, hyperican berries, myrtle, Italian ruscus, curly willow, terracotta roses, green buttons and cat tails. Chocolate pies, placed on tiered stands, and coffee were served at this table. Attendants were Loraine McNeece of Camden and Whitney Larrimore of Jackson.

The grouping of food tables held a punch fountain, chocolate fountain and large tiered stand containing fresh flowers and fruit.

Guests were served seafood au gratin, mushroom rollups, hot spinach with artichoke dip served with toasted points, corn dip with chips, ham and cheese pinwheels, Conecuh sausage with bacon, as well as assorted fruits, vegetables, cheeses and crackers. A potato bar featured potatoes with assorted toppings served in goblets.

Rehearsal Dinner

A rehearsal dinner was hosted at the Southern Magnolia Restaurant in Grove Hill. The menu included stuffed pork tenderloin, salad, green beans, twice baked potato and banana pudding.

Guest tables held arrangements of the bride’s chosen flowers in fish bowls with limes surrounding the stems.

The head table featured an arrangement of peach stock, yellow lilies, bells of Ireland, white hydrangeas, white stargazers, hyperican berries, coral gerberas, alstroemeria, myrtle, ruscus, fern and terracotta roses.

Toasts were made by both fathers and gifts were presented to the wedding attendants by the wedding couple.

Following a Caribbean cruise to Grand Cayman and Cozumel, the couple is making their home in Dickinson.
