Dan D. Lee II, 42, a native of Enterprise and resident of Jacksonville, Fla., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2021 at Orange Park Medical Center in Orange Park, Fla.

He was born Aug. 27, 1978 to Dan Lee and Teresa Lee in Ft. Hood, Texas. Dan was a member of the Class of 1996 at Enterprise High School.

Dan was loved by so many, especially his family. He would give the shirt off his back to ensure everyone was good and happy. What a sportsman he was playing basketball, football and going to the gym. He loved playing board games with his family. Even though he was such a competitor in everything he did, he always brought so much laughter and fun. There was never a dull moment.

Dan was a veteran, honorably discharged from the United State Marine Corps, where he served from 1997 to 2005 and attained the rank of Staff Sergeant E-6 and received the following decorations and metals: Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal (2nd award), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (2nd award), Global War On Terrorism Service Metal, Marine Security Guard Ribbon, Navy and Marine Corps Overseas Service Ribbon (2nd award), National Defense Service Medal, Navy Unit Commendation, Letter of Appreciation (5th award), Certificate of Appreciation, Certificate of Commendation (Individual Award) (4th award), Meritorious Mast, Rifle Sharpshooter Badge, and Pistol Marksman Badge.

He served his country in San Diego, Calif., Quantico, Va., Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, served as a Marine Security Guard at the American Embassy Istanbul, Turkey and the American Embassy Prague, Czech Republic.

Additional accomplishments include receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Entertainment Business and being licensed and certified by the Florida Commission as a Professional Dealer and Player School, Inc.

He leaves to cherish his memories parents, Teresa and Dan Lee of Enterprise; sister, Brittany Lee (Wes) Soles of Enterprise; brother, Michael (Maricris) Lee of Dubai, United Arab Emirates; nieces, Bre’Anna Peters, Makayla Lee and Mia Lee; nephews, Michael Lee II and Braylon Soles; soon to arrive, Malik Lee; aunts and uncles, Phyllis and Auther Neal of Annapolis, Md., Barbara and Albert Bragg of Wagerville, Cynthia and Tony Beckham of Pace, Fla., Ronnie Lee of Denver, Colo.; with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, with a special loving and devoted friend, Shawanda Sampson of Jacksonville, Fla.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James Bragg, Clemmie Bragg and Frances Bragg, Ruben Lee and Hathaway Lee, and Lewis Ridgeway; nephew, Bryson Soles; with a host of uncles and aunts.

A graveside service will be Saturday, Feb. 6 at 11 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Cemetery at 2041 Carson Road in Leroy with Revs. Charlie White, pastor, and Scottie McBride as eulogist.
