The CCHS Lady Bulldogs bested the Southern Choctaw Indians 15-10 last week in Grove Hill. They scored six runs in the first inning and held on in the final innings for the victory.

“I thought we had some good at bats and some clutch hits today,” CCHS Lady Bulldogs Coach Russell Wright commented.

Brooke Massey went 2-for-5 with 5 RBIs. She also parked a grand slam to extend the Bulldog lead.

“Obviously Brooke’s grand slam was exciting and came at a very opportune time,” Coach Wright said.

Catherine White had 3RBIs in the game and Jordan Blakey drove in 2 runs. Jayla Horn went 3-for-4.

Hannah Hayes picked up the win and Emma Crosby got the save for the Lady Bulldogs. Hayes struck out eight and Crosby fanned five batters.

The Lady Bulldogs traveled to Uriah for an area game with J.U. Blacksher on Tuesday, March 21 and then host Sweet Water on Thursday at 4 p.m. in Grove Hill.
