You are hereby notified that on December 14, 2021, a complaint to Quiet Title was filed in the Circuit Court of Clarke County, Alabama, and the following are the names of all the parties to the action: Weyerhaeuser Company, Plaintiff, and unknown parties A-Z Defendants, being any and all persons, entities, organizations or otherwise claiming any present, future, contingent, remainder, reversion, or other interest in the property described as follows: SW 1/4 OF NE 1/4 OF SECTION 17, TOWNSHIP 11 NORTH, RANGE 3 EAST, CLARKE COUNTY, ALABAMA, being futher described as Parcel Number 16-10- 04-17-0-000-004.000 and PIN# 2376 in the records of Clarke County Revenue Commissioner.

DESIGN-BUILD PROJECT

NOTIFICATION

The Alabama Department of Transportation has issued a Request for Qualifications/Request for Proposal (RFQ/RFP) to obtain Proposals from firms (Design-Build Teams) interested in providing Design-Build Services for the West Alabama Highway Project (Project). The cost of the project, in full, is estimated to be approximately $775,000,000.

Information regarding the Project will be made available on ALDOT’s Alternative Delivery Website www.dot.state.al.us/business. html A timeline of key milestone dates is provided in the RFQ/RFP.

ALDOT is issuing an RFQ/RFP to procure the Project and will enter into one or more Design-Build Agreements, in accordance with Section 23-1-40 of the Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended by Act 2016-257, and other applicable provisions of Alabama law. All firms or teams of firms desiring to enter into a Design-Build Agreement are invited to submit Proposals pursuant to the RFQ/RFP. Proposers must comply with the terms of the RFQ/RFP.

The work envisioned for the Project will include the following features:

The Project consists of approximately 70 miles of roadway improvements including 25 bridges.

The Project is anticipated to have two pre-determined sections:

A southern portion will begin at Highway 43 in Thomasville and run north to the south intersection with the Linden Bypass.

The Project will add two additional lanes to existing U.S. 43 from Thomasville to south of Linden.

Widening will continue north on Highway 43 to Linden.

A northern portion will begin from the north intersection with the Linden Bypass to Highway 69 North of Moundville.

North of Linden the Project will add two lanes to the existing two lanes of Highway 69.

The Project will cross U.S. 80 and continue north on Highway 69 through Greensboro where it will ultimately connect with the existing four lanes of Highway 69 north of Moundville.

An RFQ/RFP has been issued on December 17, 2021. Responses to the RFQ/RFP, in the form of Proposals, will be evaluated to establish a short-list of Design-Build Teams that will be invited to participate in interviews.

The RFQ/RFP will provide full details of the Proposal required from interested

Design-Build Teams and will include project goals for DBE participation. The RFQ/RFP will include a preference for Alabama-based proposers. Proposing firms must be pre-qualified according to ALDOT’s Prequalification Process. All publicly distributed Project information and notices will be posted on ALDOT’s Alternative Delivery Webpage https:www.dot.state.al.us/business. html and the Statewide RFP Database comptroller.alabama. gov/rfp-database/

Interested firms, including prime firms, subconsultants or subcontractors, specialty consultants, DBE firms, and local firms, are encouraged to enroll on the Alternative Delivery Website www.dot.state.al.us/business. html
