Timothy Maurice Snell, 53, was born on April 12, 1969 to the late Hezekiah Snell and Mary Mitchell- Snell of Whatley.

He departed this life at his home on

Nov. 15, 2022.

Accepting

Christ at an early age, he joined the Morning Star Baptist Church where he was training to be a deacon of the church. Timothy relocated to Montgomery, where he later joined Cole’s Chapel Missionary Church.

He leaves to cherish his memories his significant other, Yolanda Upshaw of Montgomery; three children, Ja Keirra Upshaw and two adopted, Takeisha Upshaw and Ledarion Upshaw; three grandchildren, Kameryn, Anilah and Yakahri Upshaw, all of Montgomery; three sisters, Shelia F. Snell-Aull and Lorena (Leroy) Snell, both of Montgomery, and Lilshonda Snell of Monroeville; four brothers, Johnnie Snell of Milwaukee, Wisc., the Rev. Jimmy (Linda) Snell and Harold (Emma) Snell, both of Whatley, and Asha Snell of Montgomery; with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Annie L. Hayes and Hazel P. Snell; and brother, Charles Ray Snell.

A special thanks to a devoted overseer, Liza Snell, for all her help and assistance, two devoted cousins, Pat Thomas Jr. and Reginald Thomas, and devoted friend, Reggie Blanding.

The funeral service was held Saturday, Nov. 26, at 11 a.m., at Morning Star Baptist Church in Whatley.

Interment followed the service at Herron Hill Cemetery in Whatley.

Final life celebration has been entrusted to Jackson Memorial Funeral Home.
