Where are the purple martins?

 

By this time every year, there have been reports of purple martins in the county, a surefire sign that spring is on its way. But there’s been no reports of the early birds, called “scouts” because that is what they are doing — scouting out nesting grounds. Where are the birds? Has the cold weather held them back? They need to hurry on and help chase away the cold weather!
