J.U. Blacksher withstood a late Clarke County rally to beat the Bulldogs 15-8 on April 18 in Grove Hill to earn a share of the 2A Area 1 regular season area title. Clarke County dropped three games last week by a combined five runs. The Bulldogs (10-16, 2-3 2A Area 1) got swept by 1A Fruitdale 6-5 and 2-0 and fell to Washington County 5-3.
