GH voters to elect new mayor Tuesday
Grove Hill voters will elect a new mayor this coming Tuesday, Oct. 9.Voters will decide between Levon Hicks, a current council member and mayor pro tem, and Gina Skipper, a Wilson Hall Middle School teacher. Grove Hill council approves $2 million budget for fiscal ’13
The Grove Hill Town Council approved Monday night the fiscal year 2013 budget. Expected revenue for the General Fund totals $2,009,939.00, and expenses total $1,981,058.00. Town employees will receive a 50 cent-per-hour raise (with the exception of the fire department and judge/prosecutor). Their pay increase is calculated at three percent.
