Rural counties losing population; Baldwin fastest growing in state

Clarke County’s population decreased by 172 people between 2014 and 2015, according to recently released census figures. The loss is even greater over the five-year period since the 2010 census. A car ran off the Allen Road south of Grove Hill Monday afternoon and flipped. The driver, Brionnia Hill, was pinned in and Grove Hill firefighters Stephen Gibson and Tommy Phillips used an extraction tool to free her from the wreckage.
