Amendment 14 would ratify 600-plus previous incorrectly passed laws

There are 14 constitutional amendments on the Nov. 8 General Election ballot. Alabama’s 1901 constitution is the longest in the nation. It has 892 amendments. If all 14 of those on the ballot pass Nov. 8, there’ll be 906. The amendments cover a number of issues from expanding the Auburn University Board of Trustees to protecting money for state parks. […]

Rollerblading on Columbus Day

Eddie Foster regularly rollerblades around Grove Hill on quiet days. Monday, Columbus Day and a holiday, was a good day and he had some company as well, his granddaughter, Shelby Mott, 9, on Main Street downtown. Eddie is 68 but he’s a kid at heart.
